General High School of Sitia is located in Sitia, a small seaside town on the southeastern part of the island of Crete. The history of the school begins at the end of the 19th century and it has played an important role in the development and progress of the provincial society of Sitia. It’s the only General High School in the town, along with the technical school. It’s double story with twenty classrooms.
The school operates only as a high school (Lyceum). It’s school population accounts to three hundred students between ages fifteen to eighteen years old. Our school curriculum covers Ancient Greek and Modern Language and Literature, Greek History, Mathematics, Geometry, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The school facilities are: library, basketball and volleyball court, two computer labs and a science lab. The school is surrounded by a big yard with trees and flowers.
